Buying a new digital camera for the discerning amateur is a complete minefield. By no means do I profess to be a guru of digital photography, but I have been selling digital stock photography for about 5 years pretty successfully and owned quite a few cameras. I'll be blunt - am not ashamed to admit I'm a Nikon man. I find that Nikon cameras/lenses/products just have the edge over everyone else.
I started with a Cannon but as soon as someone handed me their Nikon I felt like I was using a 'tool' something that was robust, rather than an expensive toy. So this site is mainly my views on the Nikon cameras and equipment I've used.
I've had & used most of the recent Nikons: D40, D50, D70, D80, D1, D1x, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, SB 600 Speedlight etc etc.
